Pine Acquires Properly - A Big Step Forward

By acquiring Properly, we are dramatically expanding our reach to millions of Canadians, regardless of where they are in their home ownership journey.

Pine Acquires Properly

Today I am excited to announce that Pine has acquired Properly, the leading innovator in digital home discovery and real estate services.

I started Pine two years ago with the mission to support Canadians throughout their entire homeownership journey. Given our team’s background building delightful online financial experiences it was clear our first product offering would be mortgages. We have moved remarkably quickly, and carefully in an industry that is not typically known for being quick or careful.

Every month thousands of Canadians come to Pine to save money whether they are buying a new home or renewing their existing mortgage. We are proud to be offering the very best mortgage experience in Canada. However, as we knew since day 1, mortgages would not be the only way we would make the homeownership process better.

We have always admired the innovation that Properly has brought to the home buying and selling process. So when this opportunity to join forces, to create a truly unique home buying experience we knew it was the right next move for Pine.

By acquiring Properly, we are dramatically expanding our reach to millions of Canadians, regardless of where they are in their homeownership journey, not just those in the mortgage process. The combination of our two platforms will allow for Canadians to have a seamless online experience from their early discovery of listings to ultimately closing their mortgage.

We are committed to continuing to innovate in the real estate industry, and this acquisition takes us one big step forward.

Thank you for trusting Pine with your most important asset, your home.

Sincerely,

Justin
